Small Bowel Tumor

A small bowel tumor is a growth that forms in the small intestine. Some tumors are noncancerous, while others may require further testing to determine whether they are cancerous.

Symptoms may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, bleeding, anemia, or bowel obstruction. Some tumors may be found during imaging or evaluation for another issue.

Treatment depends on the type, size, location, and whether the tumor has spread. Surgery may be recommended to remove the tumor or affected section of bowel.
